When it’s your life or your livelihood, you need lawyers who understand your goals, and how best to achieve them.

Devon Munro.  Many lawyers confuse achievements with how many hours they bill.  Devon Munro knows that results for the client matter most.  Since earning his law degree from Washington & Lee School of Law in 2000, Devon has dedicated his career to helping people overcome significant injuries, vindicate rights, and fight unjust threats to their business or employment.  Whether through negotiations or trials, he has helped hundreds of real people move forward and recapture control of their lives and livelihoods.  He loves fighting for those results in Virginia courtrooms, and considers it a privilege to practice here.  But the superior satisfaction of improving clients’ personal security and happiness is the reason he has dedicated his practice to individuals and small businesses.

Devon has handled the most complex, sensitive, and catastrophic cases with skill and understanding. And as his ratings reflect, Devon’s clients and colleagues trust him not just because he achieves, but because he returns calls, tells the truth, and follows through.

Devon knows that listening and understanding your priorities is the essential first step to designing a winning strategy. You will always have the information you need and understand the process. Devon is a true trial lawyer who makes the complex simple. He prepares the best evidence to achieve the best result in a negotiation, settlement, or trial.

Ben Byrd. In practice since 2008, Ben Byrd is a trial lawyer who represents injured people in medical malpractice, wrongful death and personal injury cases across Virginia. His practice is devoted entirely to litigating cases in state and federal courts. Since being admitted to the Bar in 2008, Ben has tried dozens of jury trials in Virginia courts. This has taken Ben from Wise to Fairfax and practically everywhere in between. He has handled a wide variety of cases including car crashes, trucking accidents, shooting accidents, premises liability, personal injury and medical malpractice and wrongful death cases involving a wide range of medical issues such as failure to diagnose cancer, surgical errors and medication errors. Ben represents people who have been injured or lost loved ones as a result of the careless actions of others. This has given him the opportunity to speak for those who are unable to speak for themselves. He has achieved multiple six and seven-figure settlements for his clients.

Ben has obtained significant verdicts for his clients. In 2013 and 2015, Ben won trials that were included in the Virginia Lawyers Weekly list of “Virginia’s Largest Verdicts.” From 2012 to 2018, he was noted every year by Virginia Super Lawyers as a “Virginia Rising Star” in the practice of Personal Injury General: Plaintiff, which placed him among the up-and-coming attorneys in the state. Since 2019, Ben has been selected as a Super Lawyer.

Ben is actively involved in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. He has been a member and co-chair of multiple VTLA committees and has spoken at several VTLA Seminars in addition to chairing discussions at the annual convention. Beyond speaking at VTLA events, he has been a speaker for local paralegal associations about evidentiary matters involving expert witnesses and wrongful death cases. He also presented to the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys on the topic of discovery regarding treating health care providers from the plaintiff’s perspective. In 2020, he was asked to chair the annual VTLA Paralegal Seminar.
